Michaela Watt

Michaela qualified as a Personal Trainer in 2009.

 

Since qualifying Michaela has worked fulltime as a personal training in Sydney, Australia building up a successful Personal Training business until just 2 years ago when she relocated to Woodbridge, Suffolk to be closer to her partner’s family.

 

Over the last 8 years Michaela has established herself as a trainer available for clients who have specific needs that prevented them from joining boot camps or group fitness.

 

 

Specific needs including; Pre and Post Natal mothers, clients preparing for or recovering from joint replacements, clients managing chronic health conditions including diabetes, depressions, arthritis both rheumatoid and osteoarthritis.

 

Michaela also has experience working with clients managing autoimmune conditions including; Psoriatic arthritis, Hashimoto’s disease and Fibromyalgia.

 

Michaela’s Mission is to help clients achieve their goals without injury and without inflaming existing conditions or injuries.

 

Michaela has studied courses to help her achieve this mission including:

  • » Functional Movement Systems – tried and tested movement systems to prevent injuries and screen for potential risk.
  • » Rehab Essentials & FX – courses written for Personal Trainers by Physiotherapists to meet the gap between physiotherapy and personal training.
  • » Michaela has studied and practiced various soft tissue work including massage techniques; Remedial, Sports and Shiatsu. However has always kept the focus on applying this knowledge in her Personal Training sessions to prevent injury and aid recovery.
  • » Nutrition for Exercise and Sport

 

In the interest of fun and variety Michaela has also completed:

  • » Kettle Bells L1, L2, L3.
  • » PunchFit – Boxing for fun and fitness
  • » TRX Suspension Training
  • » CrossFit L1.
  • » X-Training – exploring different ways to challenge our energy systems.

When Michaela is not working she is looking for fun ways to move – Mountain Biking, CrossFit, Trial Run, Mud Runs.
